OK... so... been a while.. I know, I know, your sick of it!.
Things have been crazy busy.... I've been hunting for a job, nearly got one which was a web developer, made the second round of interviews (me and 2 other people) did the test after the interview. They hired someone with more experiance... FFS!
As you have probably guessed from the picture, Rose is pregnant! :D YEY, she had the scan, and well... heres the result.
Christmas just happened... I actually managed to get all my presants before christmas eve! probably a record right there... Got kodi the best prezzie ever :p I wrapped up shit tonnes of pens individually, she loved it :D [PIC]
Been making loads of websites, doing loads of programming challenges, gettin gthe portfolio looking all sexy and modern and full :D so thats taking up a lot o time.
Christmas.... you know what that means... a steam sale! :/ definitely not good for my bank balance... got loads of new games, boarderlands (1 & 2), Deus Ex (The whole collection), RAGE DLC, Sniper elite (1 & 2) and Trackmania united... loving them all :D so if you want to play me feel free to add me on steam [My profile]
Well thats all for this post, I'm sure I have forgotten to mention some things, but meh...
I probably wont blog until next year now!

Well there isn't really much to report... Just wanted to let you all know that I am still here and still thinking of this site. Rose and my baby is apparently doing well according to the doc, and we have a date for the first scan which I am HELL excited for :D - I think everyone knows now... I'm sure we have both forgotten to tell people, but the important people know. We have names for both boy and girl :) - no I'm not telling you, I guess it's good to keep a few secrets/suprises for the family, I want to find the sex out after all.
Loads of dates with Rose, and she finishes work soon, so can come back to live in UK and we can start our lives together w00p w00p
I'm working on a big security project which I have been for a little while, and will get to do some alpha tests on some of my live sites which I'm pretty excited about, just got to code some final bit and will put it up and run tests, hopefully soon that can bring me in some cash.
On the job not, not really looking, if something comes along I'll take a look, and if theres ever any security jobs posted I apply, but thats rare as f-

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while - as always, life has gotten a bit crazy, as you will shortly find out. Firstly why this post... well it's been an emotional day, and I don't really have anywhere to turn, I need a release, somewhere I can try to gather my thoughts and get things out.
So why emotional - I met Alex again today, we don't get to meet up much, last time was months ago, after not spending much time with people you sort of drift apart, never forgetting each other, just content knowing the other is having a good time, and when you get reunited you have loads of stories, laugh and chat and have great times like never being apart. I have this with Alex, she was my first real friend after school... after being lumbered with 200 or so other people of who you think are all retards (except a select few I still hang out with) she was the first friend in "the real world" and we were pretty inseparable for 4-5 years, as life goes people drift apart, life gets in the way, it's not bad, things change... but after having a fantastic day together, her leaving, it was like there was a hole there, a void that can't be filled, and I miss her, I miss her a lot, I know she is happy and having a great time, and that is fantastic, I just wish we were more a part of each others lives again... and I can't tell Rose this because she thinks it's romantic, something more.. it's not, were just great friends. I feel mean towards Rose for even thinking it, I shouldn't Rose should be everything to me, and she is, Rose is incredible, but Alex will always have a special place, I'll always have time for her and do what I can to help, not that she would ever ask.
I wish I could tell Rose this. Then when Alex left, I was obviously a little down, I got a message from Rose, and at that moment I realized, I never want to loose her, I never want to do wrong by her or upset her. maybe it is better spilling out here, maybe I should tell her, but I don't think she would understand. Especially since her hormones are as they are, I can imagine how she is thinking... oh, yea you read that right... Rose is pregnant :D :D
I'm going to be a dad! my god so fucking excited :D - still trying to wrap my head around it myself... I've never felt like this before, so ecstatic, and so damn scared at the same time. I think at the moment more scared than anything. I think once we see a scan it will turn to massively excited... I'm a fucking emotional wreck. up and down all the time, I don't know what to think or do, am I going to be a good dad? can I be responsible? money? shit money...! names, birth plans, midwives, classes, Rose's wellbeing, her jubilation and breakdowns, a million questions from friends and family and strangers on the street, what do her family think? and everything else... I feel like I'm going crazy. I know it's a fantastic thing, it's the best thing, I guess I'm just lost. I don't want to turn out like my dad, thats gotta be my biggest fear.
I guess thats what made saying bye to Alex so hard... it's going to get even more impossible to see mates.. I might never see her again :'(

Thats too hard to even think about, I know life will change, drastically... and I hope mostly for the better, but I will miss my mates, getting to hang out and have days like today. again these are all fears that I guess shouldn't be said, either are taboo, or would upset Rose, or maybe other people. Maybe everyone thinks this... I guess I'm just scared, thats probably normal, and I'll try to get it out my head... easier said than done.
I know the future will be ok, I will be ok, Rose and our little family will also. But if worse comes to the worse, I will miss you Alex, and anyone who comes into my life and becomes a friend, well they have some pretty damn big boots to fill.

Hi everyone... I know, I know - been a while again.. so sue me, been crazy busy.
fisrtly a HUGE WOOOOOOHOOOOOO.. why? I hear you ask.. well, I met Rose!
Yup, in real life :D
She is incredible. We met in my hometown. Damn I was so nervous, I think she was also. neither of us were sure what to say to each other, but quickly nerves vanished. Pretty quickly we came back to mine and had fun :) - makes sence, we have talked everyday for so long now, I think we both needed that physical contact together and wow, a dream come true!
We only had a little time together, she had to leave before the morning - heartbreaking.
She has come back once since, again just a flying visit... I'm hoping sometime soon we will actually get some time together, a week, preferably a lot longer... I guess wait and see.
No I still havent met Mar - but is on the horizon, also supposed to be looking after her for a few days whilst Rose does some work - hell excited about that.
As for work, I got a contract with a local buisness to make them a website, I've made the template and basic outline, just a case of getting his content and uploading it, so thats awesome, gets the name out there and gives me some dolla! :D

Why hello there again... so things are pretty good at the moment, I guess because it's coming into summer and people want to do things again.
No I still havent met Rose - Yes we still chat all day every day.. I guess still hopeful here. but decided to not not to have it take over my life any more, if it happens it happens, who really knows, out of my hands and nothing I can do to change that.
So without furthur ado - the highlights:
Tax - I have no idea how since I have been unemployed for over a year, but it seems like I have won the tax lottery (at least thats how I think they work it out) said I have overpaid tax wtf?! o.O kind of awesome, thats a much needed new PSU, and decided to get some RAM also to go with that, w00p w00p I can get gaming again - Most likley I will just continue codeing though and use f-all of the resources I actually have :p - still good to know it's available "just incase" :p
Brighton - I have been bying clothes from cyberdog for years now (www.cyberdog.net) I have litteraly spent thousands of pounds on them over the years, but never visited the store... so me and Arion decided to take a trip to visit and see what it's like, I was right it is absolutly amazing!!! soo happy, turns out the fringe was also on there so we went and cought a comedy show, I didn't think it was verry funny, but Arion seemed to have a good time so thats good. Had a quick beer and went back home. I forgot how much I love that place, Brighton by far, without a doubt is the greatest place on earth I have visited, I would take that over anywhere any day, if you ever get the oppertunity, go there.
Family - My mum found her biological mother (my gran) a few weeks ago for the first time, she was adopted as a baby, and we all went to go and meet her, Me, Mum, Kiri, Kodi & Lewie, we went to slough half way between both of where we live, it was a nice enough place, same as everywhere else, nothing special, no characture. Meeting the family was wierd, Sandy (my gran) is JUST like my mum, freaky wierd, still was a good day out, great weather, good people, good times.
Today - Since the weather was so awesome I decided to do something, Arion called and we arranged to go to the beach, chilled out there for a few hours, I say chilled out we actually sweated our balls off because it was so damn hot! Hev came and met us on the beach, she just got back from holiday so we got the lo-down on kefalonia, saw holiday pics etc. Then we had an impromptu BBQ at hers, Arion, John, Hev and Me, they all had a few wines, of course I took over the BBQ, I love it, great food, music from the flat, all in all an awesome relaxed day... well heres to a great one tomorrow

In an effort to keep up blogging, there is no personal news, and I thought I would share something I had done:
As you may or may not know I have started using the HTML5 boilerplate... it's awesome, it also comes with a handy build script... so edit website, go to buildscript folder, run buildscript, open FTP program, upload new website.
When you upload a new version of the site all the old CSS & script files stay there, they get renamed with the build script (versioning) and never deleted.
I figured this could be improved.
so I created a .bat file... yes when it is needed I will create some kind of linux script, but for now there is just a windows script.
so the new workflow is:
Edit website, go to buildscript folder, run buildscript, run FTP script.
simple eh! :D
the FTP script does the following (in order): upload project into a folder <your name 2>, rename old folder to _backup_<date>-<time>, rename the uploaded folder to <your name> (minus 2)
This means versions are kept in "backup" folders (delete when you get the chance, no need to worry about them) and downtime is minimal as it is only whilst those renames are taking place (quick as fuck)
if you want a copy of this script it is available in the public directory under /code/ and called FTPupload_win(.bat).txt
Directions for use are comments in the code.

Relationship - Well here we go again... Firstly Rose is back in england, has been for just over a week now, no we still havent met, she got ill, crossing my fingers for tomorrow... she found out about this blog and has since asked me not to write about her, us or our family... fair enough, so I guess from here on out there will be no documenting that aspect of my life...
HBHRP - "What is that?" I hear you ask.. well my dear followers, or lack thereof. It stands for "hellboundhackers redevelopment project" - let me explain. years ago... years ant years, I think I signed up in 2006 and was active until about 2010 I joind the site hellboundhackers.org (along with others) and learnt a lot about security, I would say HBH was one of the sites I was most active in... anyway most of the old members left and it went into disarray as the old owner started to care less for it, anyway a few days ago I was asked to join the dev team for the new version... we have a GitHub setup and it is all underway... very exciting, kinda nice to be able to give back to a place that has tought me so much... I knida plan to stay in the background, not really active in the community, just codeing.. still awesome! :)

Wifi Analyzer - Wireless spectrum analyzer - useful if you are doing any kind of network maintinence/optimization (or just want to geek out)
Wifi Key recovery - Recover WEP/WPA/WPA2 keys from your device (need to be previously saved)
Well there you have it, my little list of installed apps (not to mention the thousands of once installed - now removed crap) - maybe next time I will go through my widgets or which of those apps are paid for (very very few) have any tips, reccommendations, comments below.

Website Optimization - That is what I will be discussing now, why? because that is how I have spent the last 2 days... so here goes:
After initially being quite skeptical that I could speed up anything noticeable I have since been converted. going from load time of first load - 12ish secs and second about 6ish secs, I have got it down to first load - 1ish secs and second about half a millisecond. and how did I achieve this...
Firstly I started using the HTML5 boilerplate - mostly because I wanted to make a bleeding edge HTML 5, CSS 3 web app.
This makes coding considerably easier after an initial small learning curve, you put all your shit in a folder like normal, then when you want to test it go into the "build" folder, run a bash script (yea I am using windows) and it uses ant to minify JavaScript, CSS, HTML and compress images, it renames JavaScript & CSS files to compensate for caching, and makes it all sexy in a "publish" folder, simply upload that.
Running speed tests on PHP scripts I was able to speed up the rendering of that and minimize server usage.
I realized CSS sprites, make all the images used into a big image means it only needs download one image rather than making multiple connections and only slows down the overall loading times.
Uploading the Boilerplates .htaccess which enabled gzipped webpages made a considerable dent in the loading times.
Lastly I added the website to a CDN (CloudFlare to be specific) - it's as simple as registering and changing the nameserver to point to theirs. This actually slowed down the website and broke all the javascripts, after changing there settings so they don't minify everything (since I am doing that anyway) disabling their async JavaScript loader, removing their security stuff... it is acting as JUST a CDN now, and well here are the results:

I am currently looking after Kays house (my aunts) - well looking after her three dogs, it's kind of wierd, Tony is living here (her fella) and working nights, so sleeping all day and not here at night, and Stacy who works for here is here in the mornings... not entirely sure why I'm needed, but hey-ho, her house is awesome, HUGE... been down the beach soaking up rays with arion... all good at the moment.
Because of this coding has come to a halt... kinda need my PC for that, I don't really think it's right to give her phone no. out so I can't speak to Rose all week, her wifi and network keeps breaking and trying to get online to talk to her is proovving difficult also, missing her like crazy.

Well advancements in my life... this will be a short post I think, I am trying to blog more, but very little has happened.
Well I finally saw a photo of Rose - she is stunning. not much I can say there, so so happy :D
Regarding my new web project, I was focusing on optimization, currently using the HTML5 boilerplate, quite heavy PHP backend and highly AJAX... very "2.0". Anyway before optimizations was about 3-6 second loading times per page, after minifying javascript, CSS & html, optimizing PHP, compressing images, setting some badass caching via .htaccess and countless other things, got the loading times down to about 700 - 800 milliseconds, w00p w00p... pretty badass if I say so myself, and thats even with PHP doing some heavy GD image manipulation... I'll keep you updated how it goes, just having fun with it at the moment.
Well I just wanted to blog, I have started using "my chain" (android app) and bloggin is one of the chains I am trying to keep, so hopefully posts here will be more frequent.

So my idea of trying to blog more has clearly failed... hey ho!
Rose - well we have been chatting on here for over a year... not sure what to do. We still chat everyday, pretty much all day. I still adore her. I can't trust her though. Still havent seen a photo of her or webcam. No phone number. No address. No real details other than her facebook... if she closed that down she would be gone. For all I know she could just be the worlds best A.I. scarey, could be a guy... alough we have spoken on the phone loads so that is doubtful. Kind of unfair since all my photos were open (changed that today) she has my phone number and address...
I'm obviously chatting to SOMEONE... just don't know who. I can't get to Paris (where she says she currently is) not that I have any proof she is even there. She seems to have no interest of coming here, I guess would rather be with her aunt and best mate George who she seems to be incredibly close to, FAR to close for my liking, if anything were to happen between us (which I am seriously doubting) I don't think I could handle their friendship as it currently is, regardless of my feelings. She is fully awear of this.
Work - I havent really looked for work that much, sent out a few C.V.'s if I see anything cool come up, but that isn't very often. I've decided to make a webapp, don't really want to give too much away here, but I'm hoping will entice a few people, I'm planning on charging £20 a month, if I get 15 people to register I would get more than I currently live off of JSA (job seekers allowance)... so wish me luck :)
Well not much else to report, spend most of my days drinking coffee, coding, chatting to Rose and watching films.. hence the lack of updates. So I guess until next time, have fun.

ok so time for a quick recap - and sorry for being so slack:
still with Rose, still never met :( she did make it here for christmas, but one of her friends found her biological dad and sister who she had never met and they wanted to spend Christmas with her. So they flew in from spain and she spent it with them :(
then janurary, MK's dad decided that Rose wasn't a fit mum and decided to try and steal her, so Rose ran away to paris... yes she is back there!
I'm getting shit from people left right and center, so I decide to so some snooping, hunting through the pics I have of her, I find out they are some models in canada!... as you can imagine I have gone apeshit!... shit has hit the fan. she says I was pressuring her for a photo at the begining of the relationship and it just escilated out of control! I have told her we NEED to webcam chat or she has to come back here! the trust is very little at the moment, I'm over analyzing everything.
so yea.. thats kind of it for the moment... shit is fucked up!
